For the nightgown is pink and full of puppers...

Another pink-based "obscure Disney doggos dress" of sorts? How do they know me so well?! :O What is going on here alla sudden...???

Was going to drop the following review but it's already gone from the site, so...even though it was only a new item recently...it was instantly on sale...must have been an extremely limited edition that they wanted me to have at a kind and generous discount. +D

Near-perfect sleepwear to accompany my pink Disney Dogs dress—marred only by the baffling omission of the Poodle pair! Lovely to see more obscure and under-appreciated characters and canines finally receive their due, however. Got the small and it fits perfectly, falls above the knee, is very soft & comfy--only it takes a bit to get used to the unusual rolled-up sleeve design. The instinct is to fold it down. It's got those thin clear little straps that can be somewhat annoying but may be good if it doesn't fit well on a particular hanger.
#101DalmatiansNightgown

Truly cannot believe they left out the Poodle (Coco) and her mistress. You've got the Afghan & her artist, the Pug & her partner, the Pekingese & her bike basket, the Lab pup & her wee lass, Anita & Perdita of course...how could you POSSIBLY leave out the posh, sophisticated Pood pair?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? There's no earthly explanation. 'Tis unfathomable.
(Actually I shouldn't assume all the dogs are bitches, it just came out that way. xD These are the kinds of cameo-characters who've always interested me, though; I name and build them up into full-fledged characters.)

And the 101 Dalmatians Animated Storybook CD-Rom game...what a masterpiece...especially the songs! And especially the breed one. And the dog/owner window-matching game (Snow could possibly be a relative of the Afghan's...it sounds in the movie as if her name is "Prissy," so I've always just thought of her as "Priscilla.") Oh, and of course the dogs around town whose voices I'll never forget ("Sweet love of mine, please be mine, I love you so, sweet love of mine..." "Oh, not that bloke again! Can't he take a hint?" And the one who "shouldn't-a ate all those Kanine Krunchies...")

101 Dalmatians
Starlight Barking

Thennnn, there's the pants/cup coordination...I love the Eeveelution group shot on the glass! Especially Glaceon's and Vaporteon's leaping poses. I would have made Umbreon, Espeon, and Leafeon a little more visible, and probably shrunk Jolteon's head a tad while extending its forelegs...love the neon-yellow, leggy specimens. ;) Not my overall favorite illustration, but a cool pose. And it's an awesome decal regardless. Love some of the water bottle poses too, & they're a little more spread out.

Reviewing the World's Greatest-Ever Dress & Clutch

Dooney & Burke "Disney Dogs" from the Disney Store *****

When this collection popped up, I emitted a series of shrieks and gasps--it seemed to be tailor-made specifically for my dog-loving, Disney-loving self. (I absolutely adored the bags as well, though the only kind of bag I could really use or justify at this point was a clutch, so I went with one of the Oh My Disney VHS ones.) This dress is pinker than I'd normally want, but I don't even care because of how me the pattern is. I couldn't believe my eyes at first and thought, "Okay, chill, it probably just includes the most popular characters, or the one or two main ones from each movie..." But then I looked more carefully, and started zooming in and checking out the closeups. Instantly I knew it was mine. Immediately I planned to wear it to my brother's wedding, which I was then sadly forced to miss...but oh, am I gonna find more perfect occasions for this beauty.
For reference, I'm about 5'/5"+112 lbs, wearing a small. I like the ruching up top. The only part that wasn't perfectly comfortable was the elastic around the neckline and sleeves; eventually it gets kind of itchy and when it's time to take it off, you're ready to do so. You'll also want someone to secure the back clasp, even if you can manage to get the zipper up and the bow tied yourself. That clasp was hard even without wearing the dress.
The array of canine (and sort-of/almost canine) characters is extremely impressive. I count 50 featured canine characters (including a few nontraditional dogs such as Zero, Sultan in his footstool form, and even Stitch!) The only one I had a little trouble identifying was Stella, the Bloodhound from The Princess & the Frog. And I had to look up the name of Winston (the Boston Terrier from “Feast.”) *hangs head in shame* Personal favorites include Rita, Georgette, Peg, Persephone, Dinah, Fifi, Chief, Tramp, & Dodger. (Also really love Dinah’s butterscotch-colored version from “In Dutch." Given the choice I'd have picked that one, if I couldn't have both. She just has this pretty Lisa Frank-esque coloration and gloss/sheen, plus a nice design and animation. The short is super-charming overall.) These are tippy-top all-time favorite Disney characters. I do wish that the remaining pound dogs from Lady & the Tramp had been included; that would make it just about perfect. Not sure how they chose Pedro over Boris (my fave!!!!), Toughy, & Bull. There's another Bulldog, but there’s also another Chihuahua, so it really should’ve been Boris or Toughy. Oh, or Dachsie! But ugh, imagine how excellent Boris'd look on there...;; So unique!!
It was probably wise to rule out anthropomorphic (or for that matter, live-action) canids. The Pixar* situation is a bit odd. And while I certainly love some from sequels/prequels/midquels (e.g., Dixie & the Singin’ Strays of The Fox & the Hound 2, Lil’ Lightning of 101 Dalmatians 2: Patch’s London Adventure, Ruby of Lady & the Tramp: Scamp’s Adventure), they’d probably like to pretend the direct-to-video era never happened (and really can’t be blamed.) *Now I had said that the grouping ruled out Pixar--somehow overlooking the studio behind Dante, Dug, Alpha, Beta, Gamma...eheh. But Slinky Dog then seems rather an odd omission, despite him actually being a toy...and then you've got Buster, Scud, the DunBroch Deerhounds (OH IF ONLY!!!!)...smaller parts, so I guess the rest would have to be in the considerably smaller "Pixar dogs" pattern! Could even expand to include non-speaking/unnamed/background/cameo/other-studio/non-American-made ones, perhaps. Like one of the biggest "Where's Waldo"-type images ever...xD
All in all, the greatest dress that currently exists. And I now have soooooooo much Disney-dog stuff. x'-3 (Couldn't be enough o's in the world for how much Disney stuff...)

{11.1.20 edit: OMFG HOW TF DID I NOT NOTICE THAT THE DRESS HAS POCKETS??? 10 MORE COOL POINTS TO ITS ALREADY RIDICULOUS TOTAL}

...And since I mentioned "the other Dinah" (Pluto's such a ladies dog!)...I've noticed that Fifi's been given a makeover or had a glamour placed on her over the years since her original "Society Dog Show" appearance; it reminds me a tad bit of Strawberry Shortcake's redesign. Not nearly that dramatic, but y'know. Actually, SS is more like Dinah, since there are clearly two girls by that name. =p Fifi's is kinda like, a very slight redesign coupled with the polish/gloss given the princesses...

...and the "Oh My Disney!" VHS clutch! *****

I love VHS tapes; I grew up with them and have hundreds upon hundreds. A large percentage of those are Disney films. So I absolutely HAD to get something from this adorable collection. Went with the clutch, since I'd only ever used my mom's, in my favorite of the movies. It's a bit bigger than I expected, and at first I had a lot of trouble getting it open. (Actually, I still often have trouble. It helps to hold it against yourself; the "front cover" pulls forward without the clasp and eventually you get it, but I wish it were much easier.) There was some black goo that needed to be (mostly) rinsed off with a paper towel, and what remains on the edges is presumably some sort of non-removable glue. Basically, to remove as many marks/smudges/fingerprints as possible, I gave it a good wipedown. The thing is shiny and squishy and amazing, very reminiscent of a VHS case. The interior looks quite capacious but actually only holds a certain number of very thin objects, some of which need to be slid and positioned a certain way (thought I could add more, but then it wouldn't shut.) Ah well. It'll be useful to drop into a shopping tote for trips out, holding the most important cards (including my Elsa Visa ;), sunglasses, pens, cash, coupons, phone, and/or anything else I might be able to fit. There's a central zippered pouch with 3 card slots.

Moi as Produce? (Downtown as Fruits/Veggies?)

So random, but a friend self-identified as a potato...and I, queen of knowing what I'd be 'if I were a/an [insert noun]*' (I have just ever so many longass lists of favorite everythings x~3), said I wanted to be a veggie too. And a fruit. But which?? Hence these lists of favorites, headed by top choices for the question at hand (ofc all red ones had to be strongly considered. ;)

Vegetables:

Rhubarb (probs), radish, beet, ginger, bell pepper (orange--or red, yellow), mushroom (probs Cantharellus cinnabarinus*), (red) squash/gourd/pumpkin, carrot; eggplant, spinach, asparagus, broccoli, cucumber, celery, cauliflower, water chestnut, watercress, sweet corn & peas; okra winfrey, zucchini, parsnip, turnip, rutabaga; lemongrass!, anise!, lavender!, basil, oregano, parsley/sage (my pleco!)/rosemary/thyme ;p (OH WAIT RAINBOW CHARD...[comments ^^]) And naturally, if I were a potato, I'd be...a purple/blue/indigo one...most likely.

*other 'shroom/fungus choices would include (whether edible or not):

Hygrophorus miniatus; psittacina, punicea, flavescens
Lactarius indigo
Bisporella citrina
Pulcherricium caeruleum
Mycena leaiana
Laccaria amethystina
Chlorosplenium aeruginosum

Sarcoscypha coccinea
Guepinia helvelloides
Aleuria aurantia
Gliophorus psittacinus
Cortinarius violaceus
Amanita muscaria [echinocephala, pantherina, caesarea ...]
Pluteus aurantiorugosus
Russula vitellina
Flammulina velutipes
Ramaria araiospora
Omphalotus illudens
Agaricus arvensis,
campestris
Clitocybe glaucocana, odora, nuda
ETC. 0_0

Dragonfruit!!, [ruby-red] grapefruit!!, lemon, lime, (blood) orange/clementine!/tangerine/kumquat, kiwi, mango, papaya, coconut, pineapple, peach, nectarine, plum, apricot, pear, [maraschino] cherry, pomegranate, strawberry, grape, apple, banana, plantain, honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon, the wee berries, date, starfruit!! 8~D, guava, persimmon, passion fruit, fig.

...love all fruits+most veggies so just, y'know...yeah, throw all the rest in there somewhere...  (I'd bet that I'd also like the exotic fruits you can almost never try here in any form e.g. tangelo, citron, breadfruit, cherimoya, rambutan, durian...prickly pear, pepino, kiwano, tomatillo...)

Wonder how many other dragonfruit/rhubarbs are out there.

Related note--next garden I grow is gonna be, one way or another, VERTICAL. B-|
And goddamn do I love juices that never have any pulp or sediment!! X-P Just smooth, thin, light and lovely clarity...

*Seriously, my tons of old notebooks/documents/LiveJournals are loaded with lists of favorite everythings partly for that reason...birds, bugs/insects/creepy-crawlies, animals of any given type or environment or cartoon/movie, plants/cacti/mushrooms/fungi, gemstones/colors, appliances/tools, names, characters, toys, candy/dessert, cereal/fewdz, every kind of game/sport/activity, etc. I'm all about studying shit and learning, organizing, arranging...

...oh, right. Those.

Also...I think I believe in reincarnation...but there are only so many animals I would VERREH MUCH want to be. #1, of course: Dog (one of my favorite breeds, preferably Saluki because that is Best Doggo, paws-down. Love bein' a sassy, snarktastic Saluker.) And after that...a tropical reef fish, tbh. I've many a favorite in fresh and saltwater, but I'd have to pick one of my fave tangs/surgeons, file/tile or triggerfish, box/trunkfish, angel or butterfly/bannerfish, dottybacks, damsels/anemone-clowns, gobies, mandarin!/dragonets, (royal!) grammas, anthias, or a Moorish Idol. Or a bluespotted ribbontail ray (oh, how I love rays...and sharks...lotsa faves in that fishy category...)
Or else, a nudibranch (especially the black/orange/green ones. Or red/blue/yellow. Or pink/purple/orange.) Ugh, too many gorge ones.
Maybe a vividly-colored bird, or harlequin toad or arrow/dart frog.
I just want to be beautiful creatures. The most beautiful creatures. xD Guess I'm vain. Sue me. (That's why my favorite Pokemon are the ones I find beautiful and/or awesome-looking, and why I surround myself with so much beauty absolutely everwhurr.)

10/19/19: I'm interested in the "His Dark Materials" series due to the awesomeness of the "daemon" concept...obviously mine would be a dog...maybe my Patronus could be my second-favorite animal (tropical fish), since could you even have an aquatic daemon? Could it be a fish that swims in the air, or a walking catfish or something? Whereas a Patronus is sort of formed from magickal light energy emitted from your wand, so, that'd make more sense for that, ja? So, okay. Dog daemon, fish Patronus. Breed choice is easy (Saluki), though fish species ain't. Could be a ray (blue-spotted ribbontail if so), could be a tang...or a filefish, trunkfish...too bad it's a male boxfish with the most glorious pattern...or, any number of others. Even a shark maybe (epaulette? Leopard? Carpetshark, catshark-type?)
For aquatic inverts, it'd be a nudibranch, ofc. (Or a worm that resembles one. xD) For reptile/amphibian, a poison dart frog or harlequin toad. For cats, Cornish Rex or Oriental Shorthair. Horses--one of the top ones on that list. In other cases, I'd be one of the most vividly-colored whatever. ;p

[Not wanting to have to add another comment just for this... Latest "obscure annual/perennial names you'd (probably/hopefully) never give your kid," from Burpee: asparagus fern. amsonia. centaurea. bergenia. eucomis. eupatorium. petchoa. bidens. cephalanthus. osteospermum. Aaaand more from a "flowers as personality traits" thing: canterbury/cathedral bells, angelica, sea holly, peruvian peppertree, honesty, stephanotis, meadow lychnis, hyssop; ivy, clover, foxtail grass, sweetshrub, walnut; chrysanthemum spelled correctly :p]

10/6/24: If I were a tool (which I ain't lol), I'd be a laser level. Neon-colored, with neon liquid and bubbles, getting to fire a frickin' laser beam. If they didn't exist then maybe the electric drill or mallet or screwdriver or something with a neon and/or translucent handle. x-}
