Soooo we kinda got two pokeblogs now...coo'.

But. Um. Shit.

I discovered this awesome, incredibly prolific artist with TONS of excellentFaba+Wicke+Fabwicke work. (Plus the 6/23/25 beauty I just RT’ed)

...But that's merely the tip of the iceberg. 1600+ images on this Pixiv site because Twitter/Twatter/Twixter can only go back so far. *3* I probably noted at least 260 specific ones below (~170 him, 30 her, 60 both)--but obviously had to kinda sum up the fucktons of other good ones, and even if those only doubled that, it'd be over 500.

 

…MEANING, I sure wish she'd used a site that would've let you form a nice collection of "likes" and "re-posts/shares/blogs." There are no useful "share to" buttons on these dozens of sets of up to 200 pictures each. The only thing you could do with the pics individually would be pinning--and with 38,471 pins atm (38% of which are "likes" but still count), I now kinda like the "one every once in a while" rate. We're only around 20% of the 200k limit, but still.

Hm. Flickr is limited to like 500 pics/acct I think. Goog/1Drive likewise let you have nice albums, but others can then only star files at most. DA could've been okay. Insta doesn't let you organize shit, and all others can do is like with no record and save up to 1000. Twitter is 4 together max, again just to get buried in an infinite unscrollable timeline. Bluesky is ofc a useless Twitter clone. Sheesh. If only Pixiv itself were like Pinterest, with a separate 'like' section. Or just the board, whatever. Ugh, damn. I just wanna be able to enjoy all the brilliance of this immense artistic treasure trove in some better way than...this...=\

Pt. II --->

Happy Valentine's Day, and May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor

And flavor.

Ran a few Hunger Games simulations with the districts represented by Pokemon pairings.
(You could also easily do it with other pairs of known parents [James', Brock's, May's/Max's, Lana's, Sophocles', Kiawe's, Goh's, Chloe's...])

A few highlights: Cassidy, Faba, and Ash cheerfully sing songs together. (Then Cassie stalks Faba. xD Um, Butch had already been killed despite her best efforts to keep him alive, which was naturally her #1 aim, and vice versa.) Nando, Faba, and Shelly cheerfully sing songs together. Faba questions his sanity. Then he and Shelly hold hands. The winner is Shelly from District 4! (FIGURES she’d be the victor.) ~ Lillie throws a knife into Kiawe's head. (It gives Sophocles food-related ones, starting with "gathers as much as he can"...hmmm. Then he injures himself.) Delia and Mr. Mime tell stories about themselves to each other. Burnet bashes Winona's head against a rock several times. Kukui with the 'splosives. Lusamine strangles Mr. Mime after engaging in a fist fight (but is then eaten by wolf mutts along with Archie and Lana.) Jupiter is the victor, but Dawn won for the most kills. ~ Sophocles breaks Jupiter's nose for a basket of bread. Prof. Oak accidently steps on a landmine. Tupp severely injures Wallace and leaves him to die. Dawn forces Kenny to kill Looker or Jupiter. He decides to kill Looker. Mr. Tabitha quietly hums. Dawn taints Lusamine's food, killing her. Kukui defeats Dawn, but throws her in the water to make sure she dies. (Then he picks flowers. Then Tupp kills him with a sword.) Clemont wins. ~ Mallow sets Lillie on fire with a molotov. Kukui, Mallow, and Winona get into a fight. Mallow triumphantly kills them both. Jupiter forces Clay to kill Mr. Tabitha or Mohn. He refuses to kill, so Jupiter kills him instead. (She then gets dragged down by Oak and killed by monkey mutts.) Elesa and Rapp are pummeled to the ground and killed by a troop of monkey mutts. Kiawe injures Mallow and leaves her for the monkey mutts. Wallace attempts to climb a tree, but falls on Tupp, killing them both. Kenny silently snaps Burnet's neck. And wins (Rapp and Oak got most kills.)

Naturally the list is of my favorite included Pokemon because -natch- they're gonna have the best looks. Especially the first several...after Niney I tried to pick out just my mostest favoritest outfits of theirs, but obviously it's implied that I dig 'em all. x-b And there're so many basic 'Unite' ones, which obviously are cool, but not necessarily worth rewriting.
Put the Eeveelutions together for a waterside supper with riparian entertainments (aka riverside picnic hosted by Hyacinth Bucket) in their lovely gingham dresses on Easter--how perfect can ya get? All but the original three invited for some reason though. ;___; Still, the checks in lime and seafoam and lavender and pink and charcoal...=D Oh, and of course Niney's spring green; cannot forget her invitation. Now make things truly perfect by declaring that Easter is ALWAYS to be observed on the last Sunday in April. The changing-date nonsense is absurd and the further into spring it falls, the better. Hmph.
...Sheesh, hope they don't add these too frequently. Where would you look for new ones without having to re-scroll the whole list? I guess searching the year on the first link for anything after 4/21/24 would be the best bet.

February 22 '24: LE DONE (Jirachi movie unavailable currently--but 8/17/24, check!) ...and thanks to my Christmas gift cards, it cost me a grand total of $11 to see everything. ^^ Bought the 1st movie instead of renting bc it wasn't included with the subscription and last I checked, I'd been bizarrely unable to find the VHS (or the third one...)

And the vivid colors, the perfect crystal-clear water...that is what heaven looks like, okay? That's what it's like. ...So it's an actual full-on miracle that the original 150 fabrics exist in the first place; like, WHAT were the odds, honestly...but I truly believed that the notion of them ever going beyond those most-heavily-merchandised 150 was a ludicrous dream. But as usual, for something to stand a chance of happening, I have to be 100% certain that it will not--for now all of a sudden they email me 52/100 unveiled Johto designs, and I'm like..."These better be available on so much shit besides dress shirts? Or apparel for that matter. I could go for a custom patchwork quilt, perhaps. Or fuckin' patchwork wallpaper/borders." Or I'll just do my usual, make my own whatever and maybe print it if that makes sense. Clearly I gotta do something. Fuck. Just over half are known, and I can tell this gen is in no way as clear-cut as the first. They've lost it. And several highly-ranked ones are well above Pokemon I like more because the designs are so damn good. E.g., Ariados--I like spiders, it's cool, but it's not such a super-fave that I'd have expected its pattern to rank like this. Anyway, by the Ides of April the rest are supposed to be revealed. And that other half includes most of my Big Faves from Johto--Suicune, Umbreon, Houndoom, Phanpy, Porygon2, Espeon, Houndour. Plus Qwilfish, Forretress, Hoppip, Corsola, Magby, Elekid, Steelix, Lanturn, Chinchou......and then there's Misdreavus, Yanma, Sunkern, Skarmory, Shuckle, Dunsparce, etc., etc., etc. Lots of potential to surpass the current favorites.
But at any rate, as this was unforeseeable, my shirt is perfect for what was available at the time.

POKEMON SHIIIIRRRRRT

The Pokepatchwork is in! And the only thing I don't adore about my shirt is that you have to pop the collar to see all the Vulpixes (Vulpix? Vulpices?) I agonized for ages over where to place each fabric, knowing only that the shirt itself would be Weepinbell. There was no way to tell which other piece would allow each Vulpix to be fully visible, since that pattern is particularly spread-out and varied, and also includes the berries and stones...alas that didn't happen, and you do have to unfold it to see most of all of them. As feared, too many stupid berries & stones on the unpopped exterior; they should've flipped it. Doubtful it would've been much better elsewhere, and you'd have been taking the same gamble...probably worse...the outer collar seemed like the best bet. Disappointed in how that fabric was cut and used; obviously you should make every effort to showcase all the actual Pokemon in the pattern as much as possible. Speaking of which, the row with the Ninetales faces really shouldn't have been cut in half, but at least with that one it's basically symmetrical so you can mentally put two halves together. Delighted with the Weepinbell, Vileplume, Victreebel, and Exeggutor sections. Well, Victreebel could be centered too, but again, the leaf that's cut off is clearly visible on the other side. And you get bonus Yanma & Ledyba. :p

Pood's Dark Materials/My Dumb Fabric/G8 Pokemon

Just replaced MLP in the DVR with His Dark Materials...*sniff* Pretty cool so far. Never read the books but have enjoyed getting filled in on the backstory and lore, particularly the awesome concept of the daemon. (Yeah yeah yeah, show me talking animals and I'm in, pretty much...)
Okay, so *hoping* that in Pullmanverse my daemon would settle as one of my two favorite types of animal, to which I feel the deepest spiritual connection...then I'd wind up with either a dog or a fish (including rays and sharks as choices...and possibly other aquatic/invertebrate creatures, but I guess, just say tropical fish.) BUT evidently a fish would require you to constantly tow around a tub of water, sooooo...I suppose aquatic or amphibious daemons would actually be rare and somewhat unlucky to have? You'd need to remain near a suitable body/container of water at all times, which could be tricky, heh. And they'd probably need surface to speak to you. So that sort of eliminates tons of options, buuuut, anything that helps narrow down is okay, right? As I was figuring the other day (at the bottom)...I could crossover and have a fishy Patronus, right?? ^^' Aaaanyway.
Obviously my ideal situation then would be a dog of a favorite breed (preferably Saluki, the eternal easy #1.) Apparently a lot of servants have dog daemons--oooh, how stereotypical, because doggos are obedient and subservient, right? Harr. They're also the most diverse species on any planet. ;p Clearly I identify with the more independent and feline-esque of canines--ones sophisticated, intelligent, elegant, graceful, dignified. Who choose to bestow their undying loyalty and infinite devotion upon only the worthiest. Whose love is ultra-special because it is earned rather than automatically given. ;p
So, yeah. I dig this concept. It's basically your classic dream talking animal companion, only it's an actual inherent part of you at the same time......
Evidently people don't always get their preferences (e.g., somebody who wants, say, a lion, and gets, say, a Poodle.) Wait, say WHAT now?!?! A magnificent, glorious, noble, brilliant, athletic, fuckin' badass Caniche would be a tremendous honor and thrill...! The fiercest and most fearsome Pood laughs at the ridiculous notion of disappointment. That's a hot one. 
Very very surprised to see that daemons are usually of the opposite sex from their people. Same-sex ones can indicate that the person is possessed of "second sight," or is homosexual? xD Well, the former could certainly apply if that were my case. Now, show me all the folks with elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos...how convenient that must be. x-3 How do they stick near enough to you? What about those with heavy, slow daemons they can't carry or drag if they have to run from danger? Wouldn't such people be relatively easy to kill (especially since killing a daemon kills the person?) #pondering

Was going to drop the following review but it's already gone from the site, so...even though it was only a new item recently...it was instantly on sale...must have been an extremely limited edition that they wanted me to have at a kind and generous discount. +D

Near-perfect sleepwear to accompany my pink Disney Dogs dress—marred only by the baffling omission of the Poodle pair! Lovely to see more obscure and under-appreciated characters and canines finally receive their due, however. Got the small and it fits perfectly, falls above the knee, is very soft & comfy--only it takes a bit to get used to the unusual rolled-up sleeve design. The instinct is to fold it down. It's got those thin clear little straps that can be somewhat annoying but may be good if it doesn't fit well on a particular hanger.

(Actually I shouldn't assume all the dogs are bitches, it just came out that way. xD These are the kinds of cameo-characters who've always interested me, though; I name and build them up into full-fledged characters.) 

 

And the 101 Dalmatians Animated Storybook CD-Rom game...what a masterpiece...especially the songs! And especially the breed one. And the dog/owner window-matching game (Snow could possibly be a relative of the Afghan's...it sounds in the movie as if her name is "Prissy," so I've always just thought of her as "Priscilla.") Oh, and of course the dogs around town whose voices I'll never forget ("Sweet love of mine, please be mine, I love you so, sweet love of mine..." "Oh, not that bloke again! Can't he take a hint?" And the one who "shouldn't-a ate all those Kanine Krunchies...")

Thennnn, there's the pants/cup coordination...I love the Eeveelution group shot on the glass! Especially Glaceon's and Vaporteon's leaping poses. I would have made Umbreon, Espeon, and Leafeon a little more visible, and probably shrunk Jolteon's head a tad while extending its forelegs...love the neon-yellow, leggy specimens. ;) Not my overall favorite illustration, but a cool pose. And it's an awesome decal regardless. Love some of the water bottle poses too, & they're a little more spread out.
